The Norfolk Admirals lost their third straight game Wednesday, falling 2-0 to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

The Admirals, the EHCL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, took on Greenville at Norfolk’s Scope Arena, fresh off two season-opening losses to the Kalamzaoo Wings last weekend at home.

Greenville opened the scoring in the second period at the 4:50 mark, when Brandon Alderson scored on a power play, with assists from Angelo Micelli and Allen McPherson, according to a release.

The team’s second tally also came in the second, at the 8:52 mark, on a shot from Trevor Gerling, with assists from Matt Johnson and Troy Donnay.

The Admirals hit the road and take on the Elmira Jackels Friday at 7:05 p.m., the first of a two-game weekend series. The games can be seen on EHCL-TV and heard on Tide Radio.

The Admirals will be back in Norfolk Oct. 28-29, for a two-game match-up against the Toledo Walleye.
