San Diego-based Green Flash Brewing Co. will hold a grand opening for its new Virginia Beach location on Sunday, Nov. 13.

The $20 million facility at 1209 Craft Lane will include a 58,000-square-foot brewery, a family friendly tasting room with 30 Green Flash beers on tap, a beer garden, food trucks, a retail store and a private-event room and garden.

On the day of the grand opening, doors will open at noon. At 3 p.m., Warren Harris, Virginia Beach’s economic development director, will join Green Flash co-founders Mike and Lisa Hinkley for the grand opening ceremony, which will feature a commemorative cask tapping and a fly-over by a retired military plane.

There will be live music throughout the day, and those attending will be able to sample some of the brewery’s beers and sit in on seminars on topics including oyster schucking, cheese and beer pairing and the craft beer brewing process.

Admission to the family-friendly event is free.
