Granby Street bridge gets bike lane is your source for free local news and information in Virginia Beach

Biking in Riverview is about to become safer with the addition of a bike lane on the Granby Street bridge.

The new, buffered bike lane will stretch the southbound lane of Granby Street from Willow Wood drive to Llewellyn Avenue, connecting to an existing bike lane, according to a Norfolk news release.

The project, which will take about a month to complete, is part of Norfolk’s 2015 “Bicycle and Pedestrian Strategic Plan.”
